SM+P helped to convert this formerly raw and dark space into a bright and lively Neapolitan pizza restaurant. The owners sought to have a warm and comfortable space but wanted to make sure they could still maintain turnover in their tables. This required striking a balance in materials and lighting. The materials were kept warm while light levels were a bit higher than for a typical restaurant. The original classical bar was restored, the back bar was dismantled and revamped and paired with classic materials such as white “subway tile.”. The result was an inviting lively neighborhood establishment.
